  3. Anthony Bowman, Great Britain, born 1935, relaxes after taking Silver in the 200m men’s 75-79 year old age group with 31.83. he also took Gold, with a new European record, 10.64 seconds, for the 60m hurdles in his age group.
  4. Pirjo Karetie, Finland, born 1942, being interviewed for Finnish television after taking an impressively confident Gold in the women’s 3000m track walk, 65-69 year old category, in 19:06.51.
  5. Emiel Pauwels, Belgium, born 1918, surveys the high jump before gaining a Gold in the men’s 90-94 year old category by clearing 91cm. he also competed in the 200m, 400m, 800m and 1500m races and the javelin throw.
  6. Dorothy Fraser, Great Britain, born 1937, at the starting blocks of the 400m race, 75-79 year old category, where she won Gold in 1:34.03.
