I was more than thrilled to chat with Avivah Wittenberg-Cox when she approached me to ask if she could use one of my photos to illustrate a very thoughtful piece she was writing for Forbes magazine. We discovered that our favourite mantra to live by, absolutely as we grow older but at whatever our age, is the simple ‘something to do, someone to love and something to hope for.’ These words, or at least the ‘something to do, someone to love and something to look forward to’ variant were pinned up on a card, taped to the wall of my 97 year old aunt’s house in Athens and I took a snap of them on my phone and now have them on my own kitchen wall here in Bristol. And I was delighted that the always radiant Leontine Vitola of Latvia served as a visual exemplar of her beautiful piece.
