I was delighted (as well as honoured) to be cover girl for the wonderful Ageist online magazine at the beginning of October 2021. I really do believe that it’s through collaboration that change happens. There’s a small army of us now chipping away at the gloomy old stereotypes that circulate in our society around ageing; and friends, as Arlo Guthrie sang in Alice’s Restaurant back in 1966, that makes us a movement. In our different ways, we’re all working at reframing later life as a welcoming and positive place to be. Put us all together and we’re a force to be reckoned with. So heartfelt thanks to David Steward and his team for inviting me to talk about what I do in his beautiful, broader project.
