And now it’s March. I’ve been to Washington to open my show there. They gave me a wonderful welcome. I always come back from the US inspired by the can-do enthusiasm that’s so wonderfully endemic there.
Then I went to Lea Valley, just outside London, to photograph the National Masters Athletics Indoor Championships a couple of weekends ago and had a great time there too. These events are starting to feel like meeting up with old friends now. (Though photographically, I struggled with the light conditions. Indoor events are so tough to shoot.)
And yesterday I went to The View Tube, a community-centre-with-a-difference (go there, you’ll see why) right next to the Olympic Village in East London. We’re planning an exhibition of my photos there in May. Thrilled to bits about that. It couldn’t be a better venue for my pics! Such a nice place. And a really lovely Manager too – thanks Paul for your hospitality, humour and time.
